DNK Plumbing Emergency Checklist

DNK Plumbing Water Leak Checklist

Stop the damage. Stay safe. Call DNK.

1. Shut Off the Water

Find your main shutoff valve—usually near the water meter or where the line enters your home. Turn it clockwise to stop the flow.

2. Contain the Leak

Use towels, buckets, or pans to catch dripping water. Protect floors and furniture with plastic sheets or tarps if needed.

3. Avoid Using Plumbing Fixtures

Don’t flush toilets, run faucets, or use appliances connected to water or drains until the issue is assessed.

4. Turn Off Nearby Electrical Sources

If water is leaking near outlets, switches, or appliances, shut off power at the breaker to avoid electrical hazards.

5. Document the Damage

Take clear photos or videos of the leak and affected areas. This helps with insurance and gives DNK a head start.

6. Call or Text DNK Plumbing

DNK Plumbing Gas Leak Checklist

Smell gas? Act fast. Stay safe. Call DNK.

1. Leave the Area Immediately

If you smell rotten eggs or suspect a gas leak, evacuate the building. Don’t try to find the source—just get everyone out safely.

2. Don’t Use Electronics or Flames

Avoid turning on lights, using phones, or lighting matches. Even a small spark can ignite gas.

3. Shut Off the Gas (If Safe)

If you know where your gas shutoff valve is and it’s safe to access, turn it off. The valve is usually located near your gas meter.

4. Call 911 or Your Utility Provider First

Report the leak to emergency services or your local gas company. They’ll check for danger and secure the area.

5. Contact DNK Plumbing for Repairs

📞 360-259-5123

📧 425plumber@gmail.com

Once the area is cleared and safe, DNK can inspect, repair, or replace damaged gas lines, valves, or fittings.

6. Don’t Re-enter Until Cleared

Wait for official confirmation that it’s safe to return. DNK will coordinate with inspectors if needed.

7. Schedule a Safety Inspection

After repairs, DNK can perform a full gas line inspection to ensure everything is secure and up to code.
